Not too much to talk about other than that our FNF mod that's been worked on since March dropped today! Not sure how many of you are on my NG page for my FNF content, but take a look if you're so inclined. :)

Hey!

First off I wanna say thank you for this massive welcome to Newgrounds, whether you're the person who curated my content for the front page 3 times in a row, the person who scouted me for the audio with only 1/2 the required songs, or the people who left thoughtful comments on my work, I've had an amazing time here so far! I had no idea my video game music compositions would be so warmly received here, and I'm really full of gratitude for the support I've been shown here. I'm gonna keep uploading my best works, so don't think I'll be slowing down!

THE ACTUAL NEWS

I just wanted to make my first news post since I got some confirmation I can talk about this. I'm composing for a new indie title, Peglin, and it's coming out on Steam! I've been having an amazing time writing tunes for it, and I was just told today that IT'S GOING TO BE FEATURED IN THE INDIE SHOWCASE AT PAX EAST!!! AAAAAAAAAA

LITTLE BIT OF BACKSTORY

It's always been a dream of mine to write music for games, the first inspirations were Donkey Kong Country and Crash Bandicoot 2, quickly followed by Super Monkey Ball 2. The first push to make music on my own was when I noticed that Castle Crashers (my favorite game at that time) had a soundtrack of tons of different people, mostly from newgrounds from my understanding. So my first ever original song was an alternate track for the graveyard section of castle crashers. I've been teaching myself tunes since then, cobbling together whatever I learn by ear and in band class (trumpet didn't lend itself well to FL studio). Since then, I've composed for tons of gamejam games, worked on a steam release or two, participated in a good handful of big mods (A hat in time, friday night funkin, etc) and wrote tunes for an animation. Peglin is going to be my 3rd steam release and is on it's path to being the biggest game I've ever worked on!

ALRIGHT LET'S WRAP IT UP

Basically, my music exploded here in comparison to where I normally post it (my spotify numbers aren't the hottest lol), and it made me really happy when so many people enjoyed my music, I'm very glad I could bring that little bit of joy! Knowing that, I just wanted to tell someone about the gravity of my work being in the indie showcase, it's a massive deal to me and a dream come true for young little elementary age Crashtroid. It's one of those moments you kinda wish you could go back and share with your younger self and be like "Hey, you turned out to be awesome, dude".

I figured since the overwhelming majority of the people who like my work are here on NG, I'd let you guys know about this big thing for me. I'll leave the link to the PAX page about it, and the steam page to if you wanna go see. Thank you again for all of your support, even just downloading one of my songs means the world! Also... been given the goahead to release some early soundtrack pieces here on newgrounds so... keep your eyes peeled :)
